now i'm just a basket case.
A day is made incredibly more enjoyable when you see your campus crush partaking in an activity you both enjoy.
In my case, photography.
Molly is happy today. Molly has also dropped Calc and is now taking French. Bonne chance, Molly.

such a heavenly way to die.
The problem with buying Converse one size too small for you, even if they fit, is that they will leave blisters on your baby toes.
Well, readers, I'm posting about college. More in-depth, too, because it is Friday. And I actually have no homework except to draw. And, since I can count all of you readers on one hand, I feel as though this post will be very appreciated. It's like I've been sucked into college life and it has kind of sort of cut my contact to a lot of the outside world.
First off, I dropped Calculus. Four classes in and I am done, probably for forever. Know what I'm taking instead? Gateways to Mathematics next semester. I am so looking forward to that.
Waking up at 8am for a week was enough to put me in a power nap coma on more than one occasion.
Religion is what you'd think it'd be like (especially at eight o'clock in the morning), and Psych is interesting... very collegiate, as it's a mini-lecture class (my words, not theirs).
Art, however, is where I love to be. I love the art department and the program is far more advanced and interesting than I expected, even when I picked the school. I am overwhelmed by the possibilities and the talent that has come through here. I hope that being in this great a place will have a similar positive effect upon me.
In other news, David and our friend Sean and I are (hopefully) going to get a radio show through KSTO! Naturally it will be the funniest one on campus and have the best music. What can I say, I'm hilarious. They're okay too.
I'm tired almost all the time but I'm making friends and showering with shoes on and climbing up into a lofted bed at the end (and sometimes sooner) of everyday. I'm joining co-cirriculars and walking a lot and facebooking probably way too much. I'm counting down the days until fall break (28 as of today) when I can come home and sleep in a bed I don't have to haul myself into and shower in an actual shower and just unwind, and of course crash eTown's Homecoming photos.
But, all that being said, I like it here.

not like any other day.
Why have I not posted in about two weeks?
One word. College.
I've said it more times than I can count, but so far, so good. I've not had any horrible experiences. I've made friends and seen friends and am taking drawing (and have my first art class in about two hours). My advisor says I have good work in my portfolio and I know all the drawing professors... I feel okay.
I got a package in the mail today. To my dismay it was only a textbook.
Being a college student doesn't leave you a lot of time to do much else, including blogging. Just Being Molly may, as a consequence, suffer as I grapple with time management.
However, don't worry. I'll be back and posting soon, I assume.
Here's to college!

i wish i could follow you.
This is slash has been a pretty big week for your favorite rando-blogger, Molly.
This week was my last nannying this summer. All in all, about 370 hours. And most of my money ended up in my back account! There's something to be said for that. For all my complaining, I will miss those kids. They chose my last day with them to be good and grateful and sweet. The shits. Katherine gave me a pack of gum, a Crystal Light packet, four Silly Bandz and 20 cents. What a gem. Good(?) news is, I'll see them next summer. I'm kind of relieved to not have to find a job while I'm at school. And for the kind of untaxed money they pay me, the fact that I get Fri-Sun off, and that they gave me a paid vacation this summer... yeah I guess I can manage one more summer.
I'm getting ready to go to college... ehhh. It's a weird feeling. So many of my dearest friends have already departed. It leaves me with this empty scheduled, bored feeling. I'm going to have to fill this void with art.
Speaking of art, I'm going back to my "roots" as an artist. I've been haunting Tealin's art, and especially her Harry Potter art. This is the girl who influenced me to change my style in the first place, and I was really bad at it. It being drawing. And though my style has evolved since then into some amorphous blob of "art," I still strive to be as great as she is. She and Makani. You know, Tealin works for Disney now. And she animated for The Princess and the Frog. So naturally she is just a couple steps down from God to me, especially since I began following her so long ago.
This week also marked the fourth anniversary of my grandpa Andy's death. Dwelling too long on the subject still gets me. He, however, wouldn't want me to be sad. So to him, I say I love you, I pray for you, and I would give the last four years for one more hug! Andrew Joseph Sullivan, July 14, 1932 - August 23, 2006.
I'm mentally exhausted. I need to splatter paint.
P.S. If you want some more great art, check out Daccat. She's great. See a style theme here?
